This happened yesterday to me, they put a warning on my computer, i called them, they sounded nice, but then they had to get a check number to go in clean my computer. I got them onti Go assist so they can see my info, we were on the phone for 1 hour.

They got 1437 out of me, but i stopped the check and cancelled it so they got nothing. they had associates talking about all the other bad people the whole time that they were protecting me from, when all along they were the bad people. I ended up calling my local computer guy, who said to cut the internet so they couldn't get into my laptop.

I did this, called the bank, then called them back, they called me and tried to get back in and i hung up. Awful, but they got nothing only my time.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: rot in ***.

Rapid Technicians Cons: Scamming attitude.

I got scam from rapid technician earlier today because i got locked up on my computer and their phone #1 85* *** **** saying microsoft warning that my computer is affected with virus ,i was so worried about my account getting hacked so I let them fix my computer by letting them tap in..then I paid a check for 199.99 had me scan my check and they filled some type of e check payment form..I search them online under rapid technicians and PC support plaza and this is how I found out about all the complaints.I just didnt feel comfortable about scanning my check from my bank account to them..This doesnt feel right

Same problem with Rapid Tech. on 4/15/18 with a popup warning and their phone # with Microsoft Logo.

Also spent 3+ hrs. Sold me bill of goods by E-check. Called my bank and froze account and then closed checking acct. and stopped payment on checks.

Called Microsoft Tech support and purchased their Assure Software Support Plan for $149. Microsoft Tech went through my computer and he removed the bogus programs and files Rapid Tech had installed.

Computer is working just fine. Looked up Rapid Tech address shown on their web site and there is no building there.

I have experienced the same thing today. All of a sudden an announcement came on saying I had only 5 minutes to call before my computer would be turned off...and I panicked.

The guy seemed to be surprised when I told him what the problem was, then said he could help me. I found out he didn't work for MSN and looked up Rapid Technicians while he was talking and saw the reviews and told him to cancel anything he had done. After saying this repeatedly, I closed out everything and turned computer off. He called back 8 or 9 times.

He wouldn't take no and yelled, argued, and got smart. I uninstalled the security program that was added.

How did you find the security package that they installed?

SAME THING JUST HAPPENED WITH ME! Same scenario with the computer message and Microsoft logo message and same phone #...I, too, panicked and let them clean my computer and then because it was a 'security' breech and I have a total of 3 other devices they scanned a check and for $1149 I now have 'total life security' for my devices...I then checked them out and I am even more panicked --I am the dumb bunny but will freeze account and close it when bank opens...awaiting call back from my computer guru....BEWARE and SHARE!

Me too! I received a warning voice signal, asking me to call the number.

Rapidtechnicians.com almost got me! I was stupid enough to give my credit card number to charge for $149.99 to "protect and clear the hacker" when they are the one who caused the problem! Glad that my bank declined the transaction and Rapidtechnicians.com guy urged me to call my bank to authorize the transaction.

My co-worker helped me uninstall whatever they installed in my computer! What a narrow escape! Thanks Jesus for sending an angel to save me!

They almost got me this morning. Almost 3 hours on and off the phone.

Became woke wjen they kept asking was the money in the bank to cover the 199.99 fee to remove 82 percent virus from computer. What company ever ask that. Switch my money to another account real fast.

Closing the the account that I gave them as soon as possible. Thank you Jesus for clarity.
